12 Bible Verses About Small Things
That Will Shift Your Perspective

The Word has more to say about small things than most people realize. Not as a consolation for people who haven't made it yet — but as a theology of how Kingdom work actually gets done. Here are 12 verses worth reading slowly.

1. The Foundation Verse

"Whoever is faithful in a very little is also faithful in much."Luke 16:10 — ESV

Not whoever wishes to be, or plans to be. Whoever is. Present tense. The pattern is already being written in how you handle today.

2. Don't Despise the Small Start

"Do not despise these small beginnings, for the Lord rejoices to see the work begin."Zechariah 4:10 — NLT

The Temple in Zechariah's day looked nothing like what it was meant to become. God was not embarrassed by the small start. He was pleased that the work had begun. That's true of your thing too.

3. What God Sees That No One Else Does

"Even the hairs of your head are all numbered."Matthew 10:30 — ESV

God does not operate at the level of impressions and highlights. He is tracking something far more granular than that — and what He sees includes the private effort no one else noticed.

4. The Mustard Seed Principle

The size of the seed is not the measure of the harvest. It never was.
