Fear of the Mind

Before you begin — get still. Lay flat on your back, or sit in the chair that feels most like rest, not the one you work in. This isn't something to rush through once. It's built to come back to.

Read it, or listen to it. Either one. If a line lands on you, write it down — a notes app, a journal, somewhere you'll actually see it again.

Each verse is here for a reason. Read it more than once, in more than one translation, and let it sit.

You don't need to know anatomy. You just need to know that as each part of your mind is named, God knows it too — and nothing in it is hidden from Him.

Drink some water before you start. Eat something after. Let your body rest the same way you're asking your mind to.

For the single mom carrying it alone
Section One

Heavenly Father God,

I am no longer in agreement with any covenants made with the devil regarding my mind and my brain. God, I ask You for forgiveness for allowing a spirit of fear to reside in me, and I am sorry for coming into agreement with a spirit of fear. I am sorry for allowing fear to blind me into believing I did not have authority to trample over serpents, pythons, scorpions, and snakes.

"I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you." — Luke 10:19

You have given me a spirit of sound mind and clarity. I do have authority to trample and bring down anything dark or any principalities in high places. I thank You, God, for the covenant I have with You in sound mind, clarity, and Your truth.

"For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind." — 2 Timothy 1:7
For the one who can't stop replaying it
Section Two

I plead the blood of Jesus on my cerebrum, my cerebellum, and my cerebral cortex right now in Jesus' name. I remove the venom that fear infected into my frontal lobe, parietal lobe, temporal lobe, and occipital lobe right now in Jesus' name.

"He forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases." — Psalm 103:3

I plead the blood of Jesus over my forebrain, midbrain, and hindbrain and fill my fluid-filled cavities and ventricles with the blood of Jesus. I break all demonic assignments that came in through my cerebral cortex and occipital lobe. Thank You for complex thoughts and visual processing.

I break all demonic assignments that came against my temporal lobe. Thank You, God, for sound, sound mind, and the language of clarity.

"The LORD gives strength to his people; the LORD blesses his people with peace." — Psalm 29:11

I plead the blood of Jesus over my hippocampus and amygdala, and I thank You for my memory and emotions. I break all demonic assignments against my parietal lobe and thank You for my different senses and spatial orientation and navigation that You gave me, God.

"I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my loving eye on you." — Psalm 32:8
For the workout warriors
Section Three

I break all demonic assignments against my brainstem right now in Jesus' name and plead the blood of Jesus over my spinal cord, medulla oblongata, pons, and midbrain right now in Jesus' name. Thank You, God, for my brainstem and its job applying cranial nerves to my face and head. Thank You for the brainstem controlling my heart, breathing, and consciousness.

"The LORD will keep you from all harm — he will watch over your life." — Psalm 121:7

I break every demonic assignment against my cerebrum and plead the blood of Jesus over my thalamus and hypothalamus now in Jesus' name. Thank You for my thalamus and its job overlaying sensory and motor signals to my cortex and regulating consciousness, sleep, and alertness inside of me.

"When you lie down, you will not be afraid; when you lie down, your sleep will be sweet." — Proverbs 3:24

Thank You, God, for my hypothalamus and its connection to the nervous system where my hormones are produced in the pituitary gland. I plead the blood of Jesus over my pituitary gland right now in Jesus' name. I thank You for my cerebellum that lies beneath my cerebrum and plead the blood of Jesus over it now in Jesus' name.

"He made the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grow and build itself up in love, as each part does its work." — Ephesians 4:16
For the one questioning their purpose
Section Four

I thank You, God, for its job in controlling my motor control, coordination, balance, and cognitive functions inside of me. I plead the blood of Jesus over my brain and my mind. I break every demonic assignment against my right and left brain. I plead the blood of Jesus over my nerve fibers in my corpus callosum now in Jesus' name.

"Be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is — his good, pleasing and perfect will." — Romans 12:2

I thank You, God, for my left brain and the muscles it controls on the right side of my body and for my right brain that controls the left side of my body. I thank You for the left side of my brain and my God-given speech, language, mathematical calculations, and fact retrieval skills. I also thank You for my right brain, for my visual and auditory processing, spatial skills, and artistic abilities You have given me.

"For we are God's handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do." — Ephesians 2:10
For the one ready to walk into the next season
Section Five

Thank You, God, that all demonic assignments against my brain and mind have been broken off, cauterized, and sent back to the pit of hell now in Jesus' name. I remove all remaining venom from fear that was injected inside me to paralyze me or confuse me. I no longer partner with paranoia, worry, anxiety, doubt, intimidation, double-mindedness, or anything concerning mind frenzy. All those spirits are cauterized, and their assignments against me are sent back to the pit of hell now, never to return again in Jesus' name.

"There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear." — 1 John 4:18

Thank You, God, for Your peace, sound mind, clarity, and Fresh Fire and a fresh oil anointing from heaven being poured over my mind and brain right now in Jesus' name. I officially declare and decree I am now divorced from all attachments to the spirit of fear, doubt, insecurity, and everything that came in through it now in Jesus' name. The contract with fear is null, void, and canceled in Jesus' name.

"Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind." — Romans 12:2

Thank You, God, for renewing my mind and for being transformed by Your truth in me. I ask that the healing angels and angels of breakthrough come in now to heal all remaining parts of my mind and brain and remove all lingering spirits now in Jesus' name. Thank You, God, for the covenant I have with You, as I walk in Your peace, freedom, and a sound mind.

"And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." — Philippians 4:7

I love You and thank You for forgiving me for not walking in my Kingdom authority that You have given me. I plead the blood of Jesus over my entire being now in Jesus' name.
