Your Verse Card
When the old words return, start here.
“But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name.”John 1:12 (KJV)
“Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.”2 Corinthians 5:17 (KJV)
On your phone: open the card and take a screenshot, so it is in your photos on a hard night. On a computer: open it and choose Print or Save as PDF.
01 · Begin with the whole passage
Open your own Bible to John 1:9–13. Read the surrounding chapter as you have time. Notice who is being described, what receiving Christ means in the passage, and what the text says about becoming children of God.
Then read 2 Corinthians 5:14–21. Notice Christ’s work, new creation, and reconciliation in the surrounding argument. Keep the reference and the Bible version you use together. These are reading prompts and paraphrases, not a new Bible translation.
Ask a trusted believer or church leader about wording you do not understand. A verse should not become a promise that every difficult feeling disappears.
02 · A ready example for comparison
The moment: A friend shares a milestone. The thought “I am behind; I am not enough” returns.
The reading: John 1:9–13. The passage speaks about receiving Christ and becoming children of God. Another person’s news does not decide that belonging.
The next act: Keep John 1:9–13 by your Bible, read it again tomorrow, and return to the full passage rather than making another person’s progress the measure of your identity.
This is an illustrative reflection, not a client story or a claim that comparison has one cause. You do not need to submit a private experience to use it.
03 · A return card for the next moment
Pause. A hard moment has happened.
Read. Return to the passage and its context.
Notice. Separate what happened from the label I am repeating.
Act. Choose one ordinary next act consistent with what I read.
Save or print this card. You may add a reference or a short note in your own notebook. Personal writing is optional and stays with you.
When the same old label keeps coming back, bring that moment to the free Identity in Christ call. Read a passage in context and talk about a next step. A paid program is a separate choice.
You finished Step 1. Here is what comes next.
Steps 2 to 11 are built with you inside the 10-session Daughtership program. Start with a free call. We look at where you are and which step comes next.
Step 2 · Welcome to Daughtership. Start fresh with Jesus at the center.
Unlocks inside the program. The free call is how you find out if it fits.
What we email you next.
